Farrah Abraham's bad behavior is due to her troubled past, according to her father Michael Abraham.

The Teen Mom drives her parents, costars and on-off boyfriend Simon Saran crazy with her explosive antics – but in a recent Twitter exchange, her dad cited some very serious reasons for her emotional outbursts.

When fans started mocking his daughter, Michael quickly jumped to her defense on Twitter over the weekend.

"Mine comes from being a disabled VET for hearing loss… Farrah's is from her trauma — shame on you for your judgement," he tweeted.

When one fan queried "what trauma" he was actually referring to, her dad went into more detail.

He replied: "It was many things…fighting between her mom & father, Debra & her physical actions toward Farrah & her sister. Farrah was raped a few years ago."

In the past, his famous daughter has talked about "trauma" in couple's therapy and duringTeen Mom reunions also.

Someone replied: "When she did [expletive], THAT'S NOT RAPE," and Michael jumped to Farrah's defense.

"Get your head out of your a**…" Michael replied. "It happened (yes Farrah was raped) after that video… facts not your hate."

Michael claimed his daughter is in therapy to treat her dark past.

"Farrah is working with professionals to overcome it," he insisted.

Farrah once claimed that she was "drugged and manipulated" by her sex tape costar James Deen.

"I've learned and I need to admit what happened – this was conspired, this was a form of rape," she said in 2015. "I was drugged and manipulated. He's a disgusting person."

No charges were ever brought against Deen, and he denied any wrongdoing.

"There have been some egregious claims made against me on social media. I want to assure my friends, fans and colleagues that these allegations are both false and defamatory. I respect women and I know and respect limits both professionally and privately," he said.
