Kristin Cavallari Says Drug Abuse Claims Were Just For Ratings

The Hills is wrapping up its sixth and final season Tuesday night and headlines were made early on when the show promoted drug abuse allegations surrounding cast member Kristin Cavallari. But the drama and drug abuse were just for show and to boost ratings, according to Kristin.
“I understand that they need drama for the show and I’m absolutely down to do whatever they need,” Kristin told The Block radio show with Tim and Cassie. “But that sort of thing is not something to be taken lightly or joke around about.
“It really started to affect my personal life.”
Rumors began to swirl that Kristin had a drug problem when she began repeatedly wearing her sunglasses inside and had a few wild nights of partying in Miami over Super Bowl weekend.
When asked by the radio hosts if she was prompted to risk her reputation and go along with the drug abuse plotline Kristin said, “Yes, but it was without me agreeing to do any of that.
