First-time Emmy host Jimmy Fallon will have a simple award show morning routine: put on his Spanx and then enjoy some time with Jersey Shore’s favorite guidette Snooki!
“(I’ll) wake up, maybe throw-up a couple times, not because I'm nervous, it’s a really fast way to lose weight,” Fallon joked during an interview with Breaking Celebrity News as he prepared for the big show. “Then put my Spanx on, jut a normal everyday thing. Then I'll have breakfast with Snooki, then come right to the stage...we'll just talk about what's going on in the news.”
All jokes aside – well, not really – the former SNL star turned talk show host is excited about his first-time hosting gig on television’s biggest night.
"It’s pretty cool to be out in LA. Lance Armstrong on the video screen behind me…,” Jimmy said. “It’s very exciting, I'm here in LA, people care about Hollywood and TV out here more than in New York so I'm getting excited about doing it. It’s going to be really fun and we have a lot of fun people involved doing different bits on the show. You have all these great stars in one room for two hours so it’s going to be a good night."
At the official Emmy Awards kick-off on Wednesday, Executive Producer Don Mischer also announced a few more celebs in the presenters line-up: Neil Patrick Harris, John Lithgoe and Betty White. Nominee Julianna Margulies will also be on hand to introduce former ER co-star and pal George Clooney who is accepting a humanitarian award.
Speaking of Oscar winners, does Jimmy have his sights set on hosting that other big night?
“No. Absolutely not. No, no, this is it,” he smiled. “My focus is on this for a while then I'm going to try to relax."
Past Emmy hosts have been known to take to the stage in full force -- including singing and dancing! -- but fans will have to wait and see if the comedian will show off his talents.
"I can't give anything away too much,” Jimmy told Breaking Celebrity News. “Just know that the opening is going to be fun, tune in for that. It’s live for the first time on the west coast and east coast. People can tweet in from home like intros to presenters so you can be at home in your underwear like, ‘This is how I want to introduce Jon Hamm’... I'll be tweeting during the show, commercial breaks only, hopefully."
