Mel Gibson's high-powered criminal attorney Blair Berk has just been served, Breaking Celebrity News has learned.

The top lawyer emerged from a Los Angeles courtroom about 11.30am PT and was immediately served a subpoena.

It's unknown what the subpoena related to and the process server, one of Oksana's lawyers Allen Shiftman, would not reveal why.

"You are serving me in the hallway," a furious Berk told Shiftman.

Oksana and Mel are in court, before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott M. Gordon, as part of their custody battle over their daug
