Amber Heard Goes Public With Gorgeous New Girlfriend

Blonde bombshell Amber Heard made it official Friday night. She’s dating a woman, and she proudly walked the red carpet with her gorgeous gal, Tasya van Ree at the GLAAD 25th anniversary bash in Hollywood.
Amber, who is Johnny Depp's leading lady in his upcoming The Rum Diary, and who costarred in Zombieland and Pineapple Express, explained to the website AfterEllen.com why she chose to to go public with her new romance, and do it at the GLAAD event.
Amber said she had to ask herself if by being closeted, she was part of the problem in denying "millions of hard-working, tax paying Americans" their rights.
"I think GLAAD is one of the many reasons that I, as a 24-year-old, can come out," she explained.
Van Ree is a photographer and artist. She and Heard have quietly been together since 2008 but the GLAAD celebration was their formal coming out as a couple.
