The iconic white dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in the film The Seven Year Itch has just been sold for a staggering $4.6 million.
The dress, featured in the famous wind blowing scene in the 1955 classic, was owned by fellow actress Debbie Reynolds and sold during an auction of her Hollywood memorabilia in Los Angeles on Saturday.
It was part of a vast collection of over 3,500 pieces amassed over a 40 year period and was acquired in 1971 when she bought all of Marilyn's wardrobe after it was sold by 20th Century Fox studio.
