Roseanne Barr's not shedding any tears for embattled News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch.
The TV icon, appeared on Chelsea Lately Tuesday night to promote her new Lifetime reality series, Roseanne's Nuts, and recalled how the Australian media mogul contributed to her mental breakdown in the 90s, through his organization's aggressive reporting tactics.
"When I first got famous I kind of lost my mind, kind of like Charlie Sheen...it was just too much all of a sudden. I had 300 people that I was responsible for," said Roseanne, 58.
"And I have to say, Chelsea, I'm so happy to see Rupert Murdoch's stuff crumbling, because when he came to our country, I was one of his first targets, and he tapped my phones, and people went through my garbage and all that kind of stuff does kind of drive you crazy.
"And now here I am sitting here, and that guy's going down...I couldn't be more thrilled!"
Roseanne likened dealing with her sudden fame to "just being in the eye of a hurricane...that's what it felt like."
