The prime suspect in the disappearance of a Maryland woman in Aruba is expected to appear in court on Wednesday, and Robyn Gardner's friends and family hope that he will be detained for another 60 days.

Gary Giordano has been in an Aruban jail since August 5, three days after he claims that 35-year-old Robyn was swept away while snorkeling, but he has yet to be charged with a crime.

The hearing is expected to take place on Wednesday to determine whether there is enough evidence to hold 50-year-old Giordano for two more months.
