Michael Lohan was rushed to the hospital Thursday night for life-saving heart surgery, Breaking Celebrity News is exclusively reporting.

Lindsay's father was rushed to Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers, Florida after his blood pressure spiked, his close friend Tom Murro tells us.

Lohan had a stent inserted into an artery coming from his heart, in a procedure called an angioplasty, to correct a problem with diminished blood flow.
