While an autopsy on the body of Whitney Houston will be performed Sunday, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office will not immediately release the results, Breaking Celebrity News has exclusively learned.
Her cause of death will be withheld indefinitely to allow police to complete their investigation, a law enforcement source exclusively reveals to Breaking Celebrity News.
"The Beverly Hills Police Department has requested the Coroner's Office put the results on a 'security hold,' because it could hamper their ongoing investigation," an insider tells us.
It's a move not uncommon in suspicious celebrity deaths. In 2009, Michael Jackson's completed autopsy was kept secret, as were the autopsy results on Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson and Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen.
The Coroner's office also want to keep its report into 48-year-old Houston's tragic death secret until the results of a toxicology report is completed.
