Even if a parole board denies Mark David Chapman's bid for freedom this week, the man who shot and killed John Lennon still has something to look forward to after being granted a two day conjugal visit.

The convicted murderer, who is currently up for his seventh shot at parole, will have the pleasure of spending 48 hours with his wife, Gloria Hiroko Chapman, in a special trailer on the grounds of the Wende state prison in Genesee County, reported the New York Daily News.

Chapman and his wife previously had conjugal visits as part of the "family program" when he was detained in the maximum security Attica Correctional Facility, but he had to reapply for the privilege after being transferred in May and was approved on Monday.

It is a rare treat for the man who broke the hearts of millions of Beatles fans when he gunned down the music legend on December 8, 1980, outside the Dakota Hotel in New York City. After firing five bullets into Lennon, Chapman reportedly remained at the scene reading The Catche
