Despite initial reports that Usher Raymond didn't attend his stepson Kile Glover's funeral in July, the hip hop artist has come out in a new interview saying he did in fact attend both the funeral and the burial.
"I miss Kile. We cooked together, we laughed, we sang. He loved to sing and dance. He loved to tell jokes," the 33-year-old said in a recent interview.
"It hurts me to hear people speculating that I wasn't at the funeral. I absolutely was at the funeral. I was at the burial as well."
Following the tragic July 6 incident in which Kile, 11, and a female friend were hit by a jet ski as they were being pulled on an inner tube on Lake Lanier, Kile was pronounced brain dead and taken off life support on July 21.
Usher has been in a custody battle with his ex and Kile's mother, Tameka Raymond, over their two children together, whom Usher eventually won full custody of.
"I was born to do what I'm doing as a dad. I realized that once I had a child. When I had them, that's when they became a priority," Usher said in the interview.
