After taking a long break from reality TV, father-of-eight Jon Gosselin will be appearing on VH1's Couples Therapy this season and Breaking Celebrity News has exclusively learned he"shopped" around for a girlfriend to join him on the show so he could nail a spot and benefit financially.

Gosselin, 36, will appear on the reality show with his girlfriend Liz Janetta, but insiders reveal that Kate Gosselin's ex originally wanted his ex, Hailey Glassman, to appear on the show with him to capitalize on publicity. 

"Jon reached out to Hailey a few months ago with a 'lucrative opportunity' if she'd just, as he put it, pretend to date him again," the source told Breaking Celebrity News. 

"Hailey had zero interest. She wants nothing to do with Jon or any of the Gosselins. But he was desperate and it showed."

In fact, Gosselin told Glassman he could make her $200,000 if she agreed to it. 

Much like another Couples Therapy star this season, Farrah Abraham also tried desperately to recruit a "fake boyfriend" to join her on the VH1 show before she was ultimately looked over and cast in the current season solo.
