Jennifer Love Hewitt won’t be returning to Lifetime anytime soon.

The Client List, starring Hewitt as a single mother-turned-prostitute, has been canceled after just two seasons on the network, Breaking Celebrity News has confirmed.

The cancelation comes after reports of some backstage drama involving Hewitt expecting a baby with costar and real-life fiancée Brian Hallisay.

According to Deadline, Hewitt, who also serves as an executive producer, wanted her pregnancy written into the show and for Hallisay to play Riley's baby-daddy, giving him a bigger story arc in season three.

“There are many story lines we are exploring,” a rep for Hewitt said about the behind-the-scenes issues. “So any suggestion that we are not doing our best to develop a great season is simply not accurate.”

As Breaking Celebrity News previously reported, after hitting it off with her now-fiance, Hewitt purposely had Colin Egglesfield’s role minimized so Hallisay could get more screen time.

“Last season Colin Egglesfield’s role was marginalized to accommodate Brian Hallisay’s increased screen time. As the couple got more serious she put him in more and more episodes (all, in fact) and changed the storyline to bring the estranged husband back and make him the greater love interest,” the source revealed.
