Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston spent Tuesday -- Jen's 45th birthday -- apart, and we've got looks at the A-list beau's busy day, which included just about everything but a visit to the birthday girl.

While Jen was presumably in L.A. blowing out candles -- she was at a Maker's Women's Conference dinner in Southern California late Monday -- Theroux was seen in the Big Apple filming his upcoming show The Leftovers, and appearing at a Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week event, the Deth Killers Shop opening, alongside Orlando Bloom.

He was also seen shopping at the West Village's high-end perfume boutique Aedes de Venustas, possibly for a birthday gift for Jen.

As we previously reported, Jennifer and Justin, 42, have spent considerable time apart as of late due to professional obligations, having last been snapped together during their year-end vacation to Mexico.

Aniston was nowhere to be found last week as Justin grieved for the loss of his pal Philip Seymour Hoffman, making multiple trips to the late actor's family, and attending his funeral.
