But Breaking Celebrity News has learned that unbeknownst to Mayer, they may have all been fake! As the singer sues Charlie Sheen's BFF Robert Maron for allegedly selling him counterfeit watches, the provenance of his love gifts has come into question.

Mayer's signature lovers' gift has long been the pricey piece of jewelry. According to reports, he gave Rolex President watches to both Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston while dating them. Breaking Celebrity News also uncovered images of Minka Kelly wearing a similar model Rolex after hooking up with the singer.

A longtime watch aficionado, Mayer claims in a new lawsuit that he bought several watches from dealer Maron in 2007 -- the year he began dating Simpson, and one year before he dated Aniston.
