Ricki Lake's ex-husband Christian Evans has died after a battle with bipolar depression, the actress revealed last night in a touching social media post.

But prior to his death, the 45-year-old jewelry designer revealed his suicidal intentions in a series of bizarre, troubling emails to a friend, Breaking Celebrity News can exclusively reveal.

In a October 18, 2016 letter viewed by Breaking Celebrity News, Evans wrote, "I was less than 72 hours away from taking my life and overdosing on pharmaceutical medications." He had just been released from a California psychiatric hospital.

The father of one also claimed to be completely broke after receiving treatment.

"I had to sell most of my belongings to pay for a treatment center for bipolar and suicidal depression," said Evans, who has a child from a marriage prior to Lake. "I'm in awful financial shape. Homeless in a custom Range Rover."
