Tiger Woods is out of rehab, Breaking Celebrity News has learned.
He admitted Monday that had had exited a treatment center, writing: “I recently completed an out of state private intensive program."
Breaking Celebrity News readers know the former top-ranked golfer was busted for DUI on Memorial Day, when cops found him asleep behind the wheel of his car.
At the time, he insisted the arrest was due to pain pills, not drinking.
“I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions,” Woods said in a statement. “I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.”
Not long after that, Breaking Celebrity News exclusively revealed the 41-year-old secretly arranged a 28-day rehab stint, in a bid to retain joint custody of daughter Sam, 9, and son, Charlie, 8.
Woods is no stranger to rehab, previously checking into The Meadows treatment center in Wickburg, Ariz., in 2010, to battle addictions to the powerful painkiller Vicodin and the sleeping medication Ambien after his .
That rehab stint followed Tiger’s six-week treatment for sex addiction at the Gentle Path facility in Hattiesburg, Miss.
“I will continue to tackle this going forward with my doctors, family and friends,” he posted on Twitter after finishing his most recent rehab visit. “I am so very thankful for all of the support I’ve received.”
