Kate Gosselin is demanding thousands from her ex-husband Jon in a bitter new legal battle, Breaking Celebrity News can exclusively report.

According to shocking court records obtained by Breaking Celebrity News, the mother of eight filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband in March. She is demanding Jon cough up more than $132,000.

Although it remains unclear why the famed reality TV mom is demanding the money from her ex, Breaking Celebrity News has learned Jon refuses to pay and has already lawyered up.

"He's contesting it," a source told Breaking Celebrity News. "They're fighting it out in court."

The bitter exes have been locked in litigation for over two months. Court documents show a sheriff personally served Jon with the complaint on April 5, 2018. One day following the news, Jon responded with a petition to strike.

"It's a lot of money," an insider told Breaking Celebrity News. "Both parties are contesting it. It's not over yet."

So far, the nasty legal battle has cost the former Jon & Kate Plus Eight stars money just for filing. Kate has already dropped over $300 for filing fees, while Jon's response cost him nearly $200, court records show.

As Breaking Celebrity News readers know, the bitter exes are also still in a years-long custody battle over their eight children. Kate has publicly shamed Jon in the past for failing to pay a dime of child support.

Back in 2012, Breaking Celebrity News reported the father of eight owed over $3,500 in child support payments. Kate, however voluntarily relieved Jon of child support obligations for their eight kids after the famed dad said he could not afford it.

Amid their new legal battle, fans have speculated that the former couple's daughter, Hannah, 14, is now living with Jon as she's been seen in several photos alone with with him in recent weeks.
