Kate Spade’s Father Dies Just Hours Before Designer Was To Be Laid To Rest

Breaking Celebrity News has learned Kate Spade’s grieving dad tragically died Wednesday, just hours before his beloved daughter was laid to rest in Kansas City.
“We are deeply saddened to announce that Katy’s father, Earl F. Brosnahan, Jr. (Frank), passed away last night at age 89,” read a statement released today. “He had been in failing health of late and was heartbroken over the death of his beloved daughter.”
Brosnahan was surrounded by friends and family when he died. Today loved ones gathered to say their final farewells to his fashion designer daughter.
As Breaking Celebrity News reported, Spade, 55, was remembered at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Redemptorist Church in her Missouri hometown. Hundreds of people, many carrying Spade’s signature handbags, filled the pews.
Spade hanged herself with a scarf tied to a doorknob at her Manhattan home on June 5.
