'Value That Legacy!' Jeremy & Zach Slam Dad For Choosing Arizona Dream Over The Farm

On this week’s episode of Little People Big World, the time comes for Amy Roloff to decide whether or not to sell the infamous family farm. While her sons hope to see the Roloff legacy continue, the matriarch senses she is being pushed out!
Amy's ex-husband Matt Roloff, suggested he buy her out completely while having her look at homes off the farm. But Amy made it clear she was not interested in a buyout.
“I don’t plan on moving unless we sell," Amy told Matt.
“I have to begin to get my head and mind wrapped around the fact that the farm has a much stronger possibility as not being a forever house that I live in until I die,” Amy admitted to the cameras.
Realtor boyfriend Chris Marek helped her search for other homes in Oregon as her family continued to pressure her about making a decision.
"I've been starting to consider moving out of the farm, and I’ve been looking at houses,” she confessed.
“In their mind, they want to know what I want to do with that house so that they can make their decisions," Amy explained. "And one of their decisions is if I wanted to buy out or something like that then Matt would buy me out and live in the house for a while, then figure out what he is going to do over there. I would rather not have a buy out and just sell the farm outright. That’s my preference."
Meanwhile, Matt decided not to hold his breath on buying Amy's half of the farm, and instead bought a place of his own fifteen minutes away.
"Let’s say it hits the fan at the farm, and I just can’t deal with it anymore. I can’t deal with Amy’s attitude. If it gets any worst, I just feel like this is just like an escape. It’s possible that I could move in here," Matt said. “There’s part of me that wants to keep the farm and build a house that suits me, but part of me just wants to sell the farm and liquidate it and move on. It’s a burden."
Matt explained that during the divorce, Amy was given the main house, while he was forced to live in the smaller house on the farm, also known as the DW. The issue with the DW, Matt explained, is that it's not little people friendly.
“I’m going to divest a little bit of my revenue out of the farm, for sure," Matt said. "I bought a house as an investment in the area close by. I don’t know if I’d move in there or not, but I do know that I can’t live in the DW, because it’s not serving my physical needs, so I got to deal with that.”
“I’m looking at my options right now. I do love Arizona. The desert climate. I do love the idea of snow-birding. Being down there in the winter months.”
Amid Amy and Matt’s farm feud, their sons, Zach and Jeremy began thinking about taking over the farm themselves.
“My dad has always gone on vacations throughout the year. He definitely loves his time off the farm and warmer weather. If this trip gets longer and longer, I think it is time for Jeremy to take a bigger interest in the farm. But that’s going to take time,” said Zach.
At the same time, the boys took digs at their dad for considering moving to Arizona, rather than just building a better house for himself on the farm property.
"I would like them to see them value that legacy over… a retirement home in Arizona or whatever that might be.” Jeremy said. Zach agreed.
Jeremy and Zach suggested living in the smaller house on the farm to understand more about the day to day operations as their dad prepares for retirement.
