Proud Prince Harry Forced To Suck Up Royal Family Mockery At ‘Hamilton’ Performance

Prince Harry was forced to swallowed his pride when his family was publicly mocked by the creator of hip-hop musical Hamilton!
The Duke of Sussex squirmed through howls of laughter directed at the royals when he attended a gala performance of the hit play this Wednesday.
As Breaking Celebrity News readers know, Hamilton tells of America’s least well-known founding father Alexander Hamilton and celebrates the American Revolution while making fun of the United States’ former British rulers.
As if that wasn’t enough, Harry’s ancestor, King George III, is one of the critically acclaimed show’s most satirical characters!
In the play, the Founding Fathers are presented as a multi-cultural band of immigrant brothers rapping against the royal when he steps on stage, and George is then depicted as a wimpy Hugh Grant-style British Invasion crooner.
George III is known as the King who lost both his mind and America, and is one of the royal family’s most embarrassing members.
He is depicted as a ranting madman obsessed with the color of his urine in Nineties film The Madness Of King George, starring Nigel Hawthorne.
A source, who was present at the viewing this Wednesday in London’s Victoria Palace Theatre, said: “Harry had a forced smile on his face the whole night. But there were times when a sneer crept on his face and he was obviously uncomfortable he was in a room full of people essentially mocking his family and their inability to hold onto their grasp of America.”
The Prince also became uneasy when he realized many of the multi-cultural cast were well-aware of his shameful past as a playboy party-boy. Breaking Celebrity News readers know Harry got much backlash when he attended a college party dressed as a Nazi and called his soldier pal “my little P**i friend.”
“Harry knows he can never put his past behind him, and the specter of racism and colonialism hangs heavy over the royal family,” the insider added. “So every time he goes to an event packed with well-educated people aware of his past—especially when they are watching a musical about patriotism and race—he gets uncomfortable and does his best to appear the affable, friendly royal he really isn’t.”
While Harry, 33, has of course, changed his ways for the better, many cannot let go of his controversial past.
“He’s part of ‘The Firm’ whose past is steeped in racism, war and invasion,” said the source. “Hamilton mocks everything about Harry and his family.”
After he and Meghan Markle arrived, Harry joked that his American wife had warned him George III would be the show’s figure of fun.
Despite the brutal jokes, the play’s creators were more than happy to welcome the Duke and Duchess to their theater, and honored that they were able to attend and participate.
“You don’t get that every day,” said play creator Lin-Manuel Miranda after meeting the couple. “You get heads of state, but you don’t often get a direct descendent of one of your main characters.”
