Gwyneth Paltrow has been slapped with a lawsuit for allegedly slamming into a fellow skier in Utah, causing him to suffer serious injuries, Breaking Celebrity News can exclusively report.
According to a scathing new lawsuit obtained by Breaking Celebrity News, the actress was skiing “out of control” when she smacked into Dr. Terry Sanderson during a February 2016 incident at Deer Valley Lodge — leaving him with a brain injury and four broken ribs.
Even more shocking, Paltrow, 46, “got up, turned and skied away” following the “hit-and-run” crash, Sanderson claims.
“Neither Ms. Paltrow nor Deer Valley lodge personnel notified emergency responders about the injured Dr. Sanderson,” the suit alleges. “They left him at the scene with serious brain injuries caused by Ms. Paltrow.”
He also claims Paltrow’s ski instructor filed a “false” incident report and said she didn’t cause the crash.
Sanderson is suing for negligence and negligent infliction of emotional distress, and is seeking more than $3 million in damages.
In a press conference, Sanderson said Paltrow “accepted no responsibility” for her actions, and never reached out in the nearly three years since the accident.
In a statement to Us Weekly, Paltrow's spokesperson said: “This lawsuit is completely without merit and we expect to be vindicated.”
Paltrow has also been accused of wild driving. In 2013, The Hollywood Reporter claimed the star was banned from driving her Vespa around her kids’ school for “safety concerns,” though a spokesperson for the star denied the allegations.
