An attorney for R. Kelly has entered a not guilty plea on the R&B singer's behalf, Breaking Celebrity News can reveal.
Kelly, 52, was present in a Chicago courtroom today with his defense lawyer Steve Greenberg to face the 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse filed against him after he allegedly criminally sexually abused four females, of whom at least three were between the ages of 13 and 17.
As Breaking Celebrity News reported, Kelly turned himself in to police on Friday night and his legal team has been scrambling to put together the $100,000 bail necessary to secure his release.
Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx announced the charges against the star, which followed years of rumors and allegations that Kelly abused women and underage girls.
Multiple females alleged in the January 2019 docuseries Surviving R. Kelly that they were victims of the singer's sex cult, intensifying the campaign to bring him to justice.
Kelly has continuously denied any wrongdoing.
He is due back in court on Mar. 22.
