Hayden Panettiere's boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was arrested after allegedly getting physical with her, Breaking Celebrity News has learned.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department records obtained by Breaking Celebrity News, cops were called to the couple’s Hollywood home Wednesday, May 1 at 2:30 a.m. following a heated altercation that turned violent.

"Police arrested him for domestic violence," a spokesperson for the LAPD told Breaking Celebrity News.

Hickerson, 29, was booked into the jail three hours later, at 6:15 a.m.

Then at 3:15 p.m. today, Henderson posted a $50,000 bail.

The Nashville actress’ mom, Lesley Vogel, didn’t know anything about his arrest, and told Breaking Celebrity News she is checking in with her daughter as soon as possible.

“I’m in shock,” she said, adding that unfortunately, she knows what Hickerson is capable of doing.

“I knew he had an incident with his father and he has a tendency to do that physical violence. Never had I thought it would be against Hayden or I would have addressed it sooner. I have addressed many things,” she said.

Readers know this isn't the first time Hickerson was arrested for alleged violent behavior. As Breaking Celebrity News previously reported in October, he got into a fight with his own father, and even chased him around with a Gatorade bottle in front of police.

Breaking Celebrity News exclusively reported Panettiere began dating Hickerson last summer following her split from longtime partner Wladimir Klitschko. 

The single mom shocked fans when Breaking Celebrity News caught her drunkenly vomiting outside an L.A. bar last August.
