No Longer Cashing In On Christ? Kanye Stops Selling 'Church Merch' After Fan Backlash

Kanye West has gotten extreme backlash from fans online for cashing in on Christ with "Church Merch," his new line of active sportswear — and Breaking Celebrity News has exclusively learned that momager Kris Jenner has pulled the plug!
On Tuesday, May 14, Kourtney Kardashian shared a photo on Instagram of herself, Kanye, sisters Kim and Khloe, as well as her kids Mason and Penelope all decked out in Yeezy's religious-themed duds.
As Breaking Celebrity News previously reported, Kanye has been selling Church Merch at his packed Sunday services, as well as at Coachella, where he had a booth set up to push the high-priced clothing.
T-shirts labeled "Trust God" were selling for $70 and sweatshirts that read "Holy Spirit" — such as the ones that Kanye and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians clan were sporting on Kourtney's Instagram photo — were going for $165!
In addition, West was pushing socks at $50 for a two-pair set with the words "Jesus Walks" emblazoned across them.
Although the merchandise was for sale on West's personal sites, including shop.kanyewest.com, the items are no longer available — and Breaking Celebrity News has learned that 64-year-old momager Kris had everything to do with it!
"In the short time that Kanye had the items for sale on his personal site, they made a fortune and sold out," a KUWTK insider told Breaking Celebrity News.
"That isn't to say that they may be back in the future, but Kris had a complete meltdown when people started accusing her and her kids of trying to make money off the Lord's name."
Kanye's rep has not responded to Breaking Celebrity News's call for comment.
