Kim Kardashian and Kanye West purchased a sprawling $14 million ranch in Cody, Wyoming to escape from their busy lives in Los Angeles. But although the West family ālovesā the state, residents of quiet Cody arenāt feeling the same about their move to the area. Breaking Celebrity News can exclusively reveal Kardashian and West are causing uproar among residents.
On Sunday, September 15, Kardashian, 38, posted a video to her Instagram Story riding behind and alongside antelopes while on an ATV.
Viewers turned to social media to slam the video, but the Public Information Officer for the Cody Police Department in Wyoming exclusively told Breaking Celebrity News that no complaints against the couple have been formally filed, as there is "no law against chasing them or riding alongside them.ā
āResidents are set in their ways,ā the Public Information Officer told Breaking Celebrity News. āItāll be a learning curve for them to get used to the way people are around here.ā
He said how while the community welcomes the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and rapper to the area, not everyone is happy about their move.
āIt is a quiet place,ā he said. āThere are some who are upset about the move. Some are apprehensive. Because of their notoriety and headlines, people are scratching their heads. People donāt like when you move from out of state and try to change the way the people are around here. The residents are down to earth and private.ā
Fortunately for the West family, there are residents who are welcoming to the reality TV clan.
āMost people feel like me though,ā he said. āTheyāre far enough out of town and they have no neighbors. I hope they enjoy their ranch.ā
As Breaking Celebrity News readers know, West, 42, and Kardashian reportedly bought the Monster Lake Ranch for $14 million. It boasts 1442 acres of land and eight lodging units.
The mother of North, 6, Saint, 3, Chicago, 1, and Psalm, 4 months, explained during a September appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, āWe love Wyoming. Itās always been an amazing place. My husband did just buy a ranch there. His dream and his vision is to move there. I love L.A., so I envision summer, I envision some weekends, but yeah, we love it. Itās the prettiest place youāve ever seen in your entire life.ā
