The world of fashion was abuzz when Condé Nast's chief business officer for its style division Susan Plagemann announced her unexpected departure — but Breaking Celebrity News has learned it didn't come as a surprise to Vogue's HBIC Anna "Nuclear" Wintour because she forced her out.

A high-fashion industry source confirms Plagemann didn't leave to “pursue other interests" after 11 years with the company, as she told her fellow staff members. She was "forced out," our insider discloses.

Another industry know-all says, “Anna makes all the decisions at Conde Nast," adding that Plagemann's exit during New York Fashion Week only adds injury to insult.

“Susan would not have been forced out without the nod of approval from Wintour," the insider tells Breaking Celebrity News. "Plus, to do it during New York Fashion Week — well, that it speaks for itself.”

According to Women's Wear Daily, Plagemann went out quietly by simply sending her team a memo.

“It has been a great privilege to work with all of you. Know that I am so proud, as you must be, too, of all that has been accomplished,” she wrote.
