Bill Cosby Calls Out 'Pathetic' Prosecutors For 'Last-Ditch Effort' On Overturning Conviction That Freed Comedian, Accuses D.A. Of Having a 'Troubling' Fixation On Him

Bill Cosby is slamming Pennsylvania prosecutors after they demanded the Supreme Court review the overturned sexual assault conviction that let him walk out of prison as a free man. The 84-year-old's rep Andrew Wyatt tells Radar, the Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele's "fixation" on Cosby is "troubling to say the least."
Wyatt calls the prosecutors' latest move "pathetic" and a "last-ditch" effort to reprimand the comedian who has already won in the eyes of the law.
"Unwilling to accept its epic loss in the Pennsylvania, Supreme Court, the Montgomery County District Attorney has now filed a Petition for a Writ of Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court. In short, the Montgomery County D.A. asks the United States Supreme Court to throw the Constitution out the window, as it did, to satisfy the #metoo mob," he tells Radar.
Saying there is "no merit" to the request "which centers on the unique facts of the Cosby case and has no impact on important federal questions of law," Cosby's rep adds, "This is a pathetic last-ditch effort that will not prevail."
Ending the statement with a blow aimed at Steele, Wyatt says, "The Montgomery County’s DA’s fixation with Mr. Cosby is troubling to say the least."
Cosby's response comes after prosecutors filed legal documents asking the U.S. Supreme Court to examine the PA Supreme Court's ruling which overturned the comedian's sexual assault conviction in the Andrea Constand case.
