Brian Laundrie's parents have been informed the remains found inside the Carlton Reserve this week belong to their fugitive son.

Reporter Brian Entin, who has been covering the case extensively, tweet, "Laundrie parents have been informed the remains are Brian's, according to their attorney."
A portion of the human remains found by the FBI this week included a skull. The bombshell revelation was reported by NBC's Pete Williams who claims sources close to the investigation spilled the details to him.

The FBI released a statement confirming the news. "A comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T. Mabry Carlton, Jr. Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environment Park are those of Brian Laundrie."
During a press conference, North Port Police Spokesperson said, "They are human remains, no doubt there. I would say that the remains were consistent with one individual, you know skeletal remains,"
