The Ventura County Sheriff's deputies were reportedly alerted to Britney's home after the housekeeper claimed the singer got heated over a conversation about one of her dog's health.

The staff member claims she took Britney's dog to the vet, and when she returned to the home, they allegedly got into it about the treatment of the pop star's pet.

Britney's housekeeper allegedly told the cops that the Oops!... I Did It Again songbird slapped her phone out of her hands.

While the employee reportedly called police to Britney's home, she allegedly ended up going into the station to file a report.

Sources claim that cops have tried to get ahold of the Grammy singer, but she refuses to talk.

Insiders close to Britney are now claiming the alleged altercation never even took place. They also claim they were told authorities don't believe the case will go anywhere.
