Brian Laundrie has allegedly been seen 12 times in North Carolina since Thursday.
The Haywood County Sheriff's Office has received calls from one dozen tipsters claiming they have seen the missing 23-year-old in the western part of the state near the Tennessee border over the last several days, a spokesperson for the department revealed.
One of those calls came from Dennis Davis, the hiker whose panicked 911 audio was released. According to Dennis, he's "99.99 percent sure" he spoke to Brian along a stretch of the Appalachian Trail.

According to Davis, Gabby Petito's former fiancé was driving a white truck and asking for directions to California.
"He was talking wild. He said that his girlfriend left him and he had to go out to California to see her," Dennis said in the dispatch audio released on Monday. "He was acting funny. And I wasn’t sure what he looked like. And then … I went and parked and pulled up the photographs of him. And I’m 99.99 percent sure that was him.”
Earlier this week, the Haywood County Sheriff's Office released a statement ensuring the public they were following up on every Brian lead.
"The Haywood County Sheriff's Office has received a number of calls regarding the sighting of Brian Laundrie over the past several days, each one being investigated thoroughly and areas of concern searched, but all to no avail,"
