Just a few years ago, logistics performance was measured primarily by two indicators: transportation costs and delivery speed. However, the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical conflicts, shifts in global trade routes, and shortages of transportation capacity have fundamentally changed how businesses approach supply chain management. Today, for U.S. manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, the priority is no longer limited to delivering products on time. Increasingly, success depends on a supply chain's ability to remain stable and resilient in an economy defined by constant disruption.

Research by McKinsey & Company shows that companies are moving away from business models focused solely on cost reduction. Instead, they are prioritizing the ability to rapidly adapt production and logistics processes, anticipate risks, and make data-driven decisions. As a result, supply chain management has evolved into one of the core elements of long-term business strategy.

These industry changes have also shaped the professional focus of Nazar Holovchuk, a specialist in international transportation logistics and supply chain management. His work centers on strengthening the resilience of logistics operations, managing supply chain risks, and improving coordination across complex logistics networks. Drawing on practical industry experience, academic research, and independent professional evaluation of logistics projects, Holovchuk views logistics not simply as a transportation function but as a business management system whose effectiveness determines the reliability of the entire supply chain.

More than five years of professional experience in Ukraine, Poland, and the United States have given Holovchuk extensive exposure to different models of international logistics. While serving in administrative and management positions at Hegelmann Transporte Poland and ProTrans, he participated in coordinating logistics operations, organizing international freight transportation, and managing operational activities during a period of profound transformation in the European logistics market. It was during this time that changing transportation routes, increasing logistics risks, and the need to rapidly restructure supply chains demonstrated how system resilience depends not only on transportation quality but also on sound management decisions. These observations became the foundation of his research paper, Models for Ensuring Supply Chain Resilience under Geopolitical and Economic Crises, which examines mechanisms for strengthening supply chain resilience during periods of geopolitical and economic instability.

"My experience in international logistics has shown me that most disruptions do not occur during transportation itself but much earlier, when management decisions are made," Holovchuk says. "The earlier a company identifies risks and adjusts its supply chain operations, the fewer losses it ultimately incurs. Finding practical solutions to these challenges has become the foundation of my research."

In 2023, Nazar Holovchuk founded Naziktruckup Company in the United States, bringing his international experience to the American logistics market. Working with local businesses, he focused on route management, coordination among supply chain participants, and reducing operational disruptions that most often arise before freight even enters transit. His work in the United States enabled him to adapt European planning practices to the requirements of the American market and develop his own management model in which logistics is viewed as an integral part of business management rather than as a standalone transportation function. This experience was reflected in his study, The Transformation of Logistics from an Operational Function into a System of Strategic Corporate Resilience: The U.S. Experience, in which Holovchuk analyzes American logistics practices and demonstrates how logistics has become an essential component of long-term business resilience.

International professional experience became the foundation of Nazar Holovchuk's research. Having worked within different logistics systems and managed operational processes, he concluded that business competitiveness is increasingly determined not by transportation costs but by the quality of supply chain management. This realization shaped the direction of his academic work, which focuses on logistics risk management, digital technologies, and improving supply chain performance.

One of the central areas of his research is the digital transformation of logistics. In his publication, Use of Artificial Intelligence and Predictive Analytics in Forecasting Logistics Risks: Contemporary Approaches to Supply Chain Resilience Management in the United States, Holovchuk explores how artificial intelligence and predictive analytics can help identify potential logistics risks before they disrupt supply chain operations. “Participating in the International Scientific and Practical Conference Modern Science in the Context of Global Challenges: Trends, Innovations, and Development Prospects in New York was a natural continuation of my research,” Holovchuk says. “The issues I study, including supply chain resilience, logistics risk management, and digital transformation, are especially relevant to the United States, where companies are rethinking how logistics supports long-term business stability.”

His research naturally led to independent expert work. In 2026, Holovchuk joined the jury and Expert Council of the Ukrainian Business Award, where he participated in evaluating companies in the transportation and logistics sector. As part of the assessment process, the expert panel reviewed the efficiency of logistics operations, the level of digitalization, the quality of supply chain management, and the resilience of business models. His appointment to the Expert Council reflected professional recognition of his expertise in business management within the logistics industry.

Holovchuk also explores the strategic role of logistics in his research, Transformation of Logistics from an Operational Function into a Strategic Resilience System of the Enterprise, where he argues that logistics should be viewed not as an independent operational function but as a management system that supports long-term business resilience.

His contribution to advancing modern approaches to logistics management has also been recognized nationally. Nazar Holovchuk has received the National Order “Leader of Ukraine” and the National Public Award Cup “Achievement of the Year”, honors presented to professionals who have made significant contributions to the development of their industry.

Nazar Holovchuk's professional career reflects the transformation taking place across the global logistics industry. His approach views the supply chain not as a collection of individual operations but as an integrated management system whose effectiveness determines business resilience, the speed of decision-making, and an organization's ability to adapt to changing market conditions. This philosophy defines his professional specialization and reflects the direction in which modern logistics is evolving as companies increasingly integrate transportation, risk management, and digital technologies into broader business strategy.
