Nicki Minaj’s mother has filed a second lawsuit over the tragic hit-and-run accident that left her husband Robert Maraj dead.
According to court documents obtained by Radar, Carol Maraj is suing Keyspan Energy Corporation and Robert J. Banker Construction, Inc.
In February, Minaj’s 64-year-old father Robert Maraj was killed after being struck by a car in New York. He was reportedly walking on the street around 6 PM when the vehicle driven by a man Charles Polevich allegedly hit him.

Police accuse Polevich of getting out of his car to look at Maraj but then driving away without calling for help. A month after the accident Carol filed a $150 million lawsuit against Polevich. She accuses him of being negligent and careless while driving.
Carol’s lawyer, Benjamin Crump, said, “He was not only irresponsible and negligent but more concerned about running away and hiding than seeking help.” In response, Polevich denied all allegations and blamed Robert for being “negligent in crossing the street.”
