If you're a celebrity, who better to get romantically involved with than the person who already knows everything about you – and knows how you operate in a marriage?

Last week, the 58-year-old Kiss from a Rose crooner was photographed enjoying some fun in the Saint-Tropez sun with his former assistant, Laura Strayer.

The two looked quite couple-y as they held hands and walked around the South of France together, before stopping for some gelato.

Laura was even seen spoon-feeding her man, though it's unclear if she was wearing her assistant hat or her girlfriend hat at the time of the gesture.

Her current job is not currently known, but it's believed she works in the music industry, which would be another thing she and Seal have in common.

Strayer reportedly started working out of Seal and Klum's then-family home in 2006. It is not clear if/when she stopped working for him.

However, those close to the 48-year-old America's Got Talent judge told Page Six they were shocked to learn of the singer's new relationship and called it "ironic" given that he once publicly shamed the mother of his children for dating her ex-bodyguard, Martin Kristen, following their January 2012 split.

"I literally had no idea that Seal was dating Laura until I saw these photos," one family source said. "Of course, we all want him to be happy – but it's definitely ironic that he's dating the help when he had such strong feelings about Heidi seeing Martin."
