Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are both back on the market after deciding to end their romantic relationship.
They released a statement reading, "Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward."
Shawn and Camila first met back in 2014 but didn't start officially dating until July 2019. The couple has been dealing with breakup rumors for months. During their time together they released multiple hit songs together and milked the romance for business opportunities.
As Breaking Celebrity News first reported, sources claim 24-year-old Camila was speaking about the split on a flight earlier this week. An alleged eyewitness told Deuxmoi she was on a plane ride from Miami to Los Angeles when she was overheard asking for a breakup film recommendation.
The tipster claimed their fiancé was on the plane and heard Camila ask her friend, " 'What would you watch if you just went through a break up [sic]?" She ended up choosing a happy movie to avoid "sobbing on the plane."
The singer was reportedly on the verge of tears during the ride.
