Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are reportedly headed for a divorce — and it's clear the rumors are taking a toll! Breaking Celebrity News has learned that the usually private former happily married couple had a very public meeting yesterday with a unidentified woman in Westwood, Calif. With divorce rumors looming, Richie and Madden met at California Pizza Kitchen in Westwood, Calif., on May 5. An eyewitness source tells Breaking Celebrity News that the unhappily married parents to daughter Harlow, 7, and son Sparrow, 5, arrived in separate vehicles.

The couple met for 40 minutes with an unidentified woman, who was not photographed and an eyewitness source tells Breaking Celebrity News that "their interaction was strained."
As Breaking Celebrity News reported, after moving trucks were spotted at the couple's home L.A. home on May 1, Richie has not been wearing her wedding ring. In this photo, it is clear that she does not want to show the emptiness on her once diamond-studded wedding ring finger.
Madden, on the other hand, did wear his ring but did not look to be enjoying their brief encounter.
After the tense 40 minute meeting, "Richie walked several feet ahead of Joel, wringing her hands," says the source. "After that she got into her car and revved the engine."

"Before Nicole sped off in her own car, she shook hands with Joel," the source tells Breaking Celebrity News.
As Breaking Celebrity News reported, an insider said divorce is "imminent."
