Ann Curry is not holding back when talking about Matt Lauer's sexual misconduct scandal. Despite her many attempts to keep quiet, the former Today anchor came clean about her feelings toward her known nemesis in an explosive interview with PEOPLE.

After speaking of her infamous 2015 firing and her life-changing career move, Curry, 61, was asked to talk about ex co-host Matt Lauer, 60, and his recent sex scandal.

At first, a cautious Curry claimed she felt only "tremendous empathy for the victims." She added that she was happy women were finally speaking up, because the "Me Too" movement was "far overdue."

The publication's interviewer than brought up the hilarious Curry vs. Lauer drama that went viral on social media late last year. Hearing this, Ann Curry told the reporter how she truly felt after the Lauer scandal.

"I wish I could say that I was celebrating," she responded. "But actually I immediately checked myself. Because I knew women had suffered."
