After it was announced that Joe Gorga and sister Teresa Giudice's Italian restaurant in New Jersey would be closing only months after its grand opening, Radaronline.com has learned health inspectors had serious concerns over the eatery's sanitation practices.
In the East Hanover Health Department inspection report obtained by Breaking Celebrity News, Gorga’s Home Made Pasta & Pizza had several violations listed.
Health Officer Carlo Dilizia said that fans in the walk-in refrigerator had "a heavy build up of dust accumulation, and bowls were "haphazardly" stored in a mop sink.
In addition, an ice machine had a "build up of black residue," and employees were "warned" to wear gloves "several times" during food preparation.
The report also noted "a very strong order emanating" from the grease trap.
In another incident, an employee was "observed rinsing his rag into the hand sink, which housed the tomatoes."
Despite the violations, Gorga's received a passing grade in July 2017.
"Gorga’s was not penalized, the evaluation was satisfactory, and this was the first and only inspection report," Paula Massaro of the East Hanover Township told Breaking Celebrity News.
Page Six was first to report the dirty inspection.
