President Barack Obama and his VP were infamous for their bromance — but in his shocking new tell-all, Joe Biden admits behind-the-scenes, the duo were often at each other’s throats!

“There were times when we were unhappy with each other,” he writes in Promise Me, Dad, out November 14.

However, he says he appreciates that the two could fight it out together instead of speaking behind each other’s backs, or leaking stories to news outlets.

“But when he was upset with me I heard about it in private, not on the nightly news,” he continues. “At the end of the day I was appreciative that he was straight with me. And the few times I was really upset with him, I was straightforward and direct about my anger. I made no bones about it.”

When Biden, 74, considered embarking on a 2016 presidential campaign, he claims Obama, 56, didn’t have his back — and instead placed his bets on eventual nominee Hillary Clinton!

“In January 2015 the president was convinced I could not beat Hillary, and he worried that a long primary fight would split the party and leave the Democratic nominee vulnerable in the general election,” Biden writes.

During further discussions, the politician claims he felt unable to “full confide” in his longtime friend.

In part due to grief at his son Beau’s cancer death that same year, Biden ultimately decided not to run.

His would-be opponent Clinton ultimately lost the election to President Donald Trump.
