Fond Farewell: Kelsey Grammer Says Goodbye To TV Dad John Mahoney

Kelsey Grammer has finally added his thoughts and prayers to the growing list of mourners recalling the life and times of the late Frasier star John Mahoney.
“He was my father," Grammer tweeted. "I loved him."
Grammer, 62, shared a black and white photo of the two hugging.
Mahoney, who played Grammer’s father on the popular sitcom Frasier, died on Feb. 4 in Chicago.
The cause of death was not immediately revealed, but there are reports it was related to cancer complications.
As Breaking Celebrity News previously revealed, the 77-year-old had battled and beat colon cancer in the mid 80’s. However, a necessary colostomy surgery forced him to forever give up sex.
As news of Mahoney's death spread, friends and colleagues of the late actor offered their condolences.
“Watch Moonstruck, Say Anything and/or Frasier or anything you can with him in it and raise a glass to John. Remember him well,” tweeted Frasier co-star Peri Gilpin.
