Luan de Lesseps is “so sorry” for her controversial Diana Ross costume!

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the reality star explained her choice to impersonate the iconic singer at Dorinda Medley’s Halloween party.

“I never meant to hurt anybody’s feelings. I love Diana Ross and I totally respect Diana Ross,” de Lesseps, 52, told show host Andy Cohen. “I had bronzer on, that I wear normally, like the rest of my skin — I’m tan right now,” she added. “So I didn’t add anything, or try to ever, ever dream of doing a blackface, ever.”

The Countess’ apology came after she spoke to ET about the same scandal, for which she was bashed by online haters who called her “insensitive” and “racist.”

“I had makeup on, but not anything that would make me look… I had like, tanning cream on,” de Lesseps told the outlet. “I think that the tanning cream, and the big hair piece I have, which was amazing… I was doing my version of Diana Ross.”

She also added that the thought of her costume being offensive never entered her mind! “I wasn’t at all worried about that, and all of a sudden it became a thing,” she said.

“I’m so sorry. I don’t want it to be a thing, so I apologize if I have offended.”

During Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York, Luann de Lesseps showed up to her costar’s Halloween party on her first outing since her split from Tom D’Agostino.

“I’m Diana Ross because she’s fabulous,” the star said during her confessional. “Tom is not in tow, so I’m feeling liberated. It’s been a while since I’ve felt my girl power.”

Cast-mate Carole Radziwill, however, said there was something “a little off” about de Lesseps’ costume, and called her “disrespectful.”

“I think she’s tone-deaf when it comes to cultural stereotypes. She’s generally tone-deaf anyway,” she added.

Bethenny Frankel also bashed the Countess, saying: “Luann’s got the balls of a burglar. You’ve gotta give it to her. She gives zero f**ks, well, I take that back.”
