A missing persons report was filed just hours before cops discovered Mark Salling’s body, Breaking Celebrity News can report.
Cops out of the Foothill Division received a missing persons report at 3 am on January 30, LAPD spokesman Mike Lopez told Breaking Celebrity News exclusively.
Officials later discovered a body at the 11900 block of Big Tujunga Canyon Road in Sunland at about 8:50 am, Lopez confirmed.
Ed Winter, assistant chief at the LA County Department of Medical Examiner’s Office told Breaking Celebrity News he hasn’t spoken to the next of kin yet or LAPD investigators, so he can’t confirm if the body belongs to Salling.
According to reports, the former Glee actor was found hanging from a tree near a baseball field in an apparent suicide.
As Breaking Celebrity News previously reported, the disgraced star was awaiting sentencing on child [expletive] charges. He was expected to serve up to seven years behind bars for his crimes.
According to reports, he previously attempted suicide in October.
