Jenelle Evans’ ex-husband Courtland Rogers was released from jail after his arrest on drug possession charges, Breaking Celebrity News has exclusively learned.
The Teen Mom 2 star’s former spouse was busted by cops and thrown in jail on February 22, but after spending the weekend locked up, he was released on Monday, February 26, at 12:57 pm, the Brunswick County Jail confirmed to Breaking Celebrity News.
As Breaking Celebrity News previously reported, Rogers, 32, was arrested for “possession with intent to manufacture or sell a schedule III controlled substance,” and for a parole violation.
As soon as he was released he claimed that the situation was a “misunderstanding,” and he was wrongly arrested.
“I shouldn’t of even went in I haven’t done anything wrong it was a misunderstanding,” he tweeted today.
Rogers recently tied the knot with Lindsey Frazier, and the couple are expecting a baby together.
The shocking arrest came as Evans battles for her job with MTV after her current husband, David Eason, was fired from the show for hateful, homophobic speech on Twitter.
The network is holding meetings to determine Evans’ future on the show but an insider told Breaking Celebrity News she's considering quitting in solidarity with her husband.
In a bizarre twist, Rogers and Eason were cellmates in prison, and when Eason was released he ended up meeting Evans and marrying her.
