Sarah Palin’s shamed son, Track Palin, will spend one year in custody after being charged with assault against his baby mama. The Iraqi War veteran will likely serve him time in a halfway house rather than in jail, regardless of the outcome of his most recent arrest, according to the Associated Press.

The news comes days after Breaking Celebrity News exclusively reported Track, 29, was arrested for allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriendJordan Loewe, in the face and neck inside his Alaska home — in front of their young son.

The two reportedly got into an argument over Track refusing to hug Jordan, which allegedly led to him hitting her “in the back of the head and butt.” He also reportedly took her cell phone so she could not call police.

After Jordan began screaming for help, however, Track gave her cell back and she called 911. When police arrived, Track resisted arrest by tensing his arm kicking a coffee table.

He was then put under supervision and given an ankle bracelet. Meanwhile, Jordan was granted a restraining order.

While Track pled “not guilty, for sure” to his assault charges, he “faces three Class A misdemeanors that allow for up to a year behind bars and a $25,000 fine” and a “Class B misdemeanor that allows up to one day in jail and $2,000 fine,” according to KTUU.

The violent event comes one year after Track Palin pled guilty to assaulting his own father. He is no longer eligible to participate in a therapeutic program for veterans, according to AP.
