Charlie Sheen’s legal team and the Aspen District Attorney’s office are close to reaching a plea deal over his domestic violence case, Breaking Celebrity News has learned.
Talks had stalled between the two sides but now it looks like a deal could be struck before their next court appearance on August 2.
According to a source, Sheen’s lawyer Yale Galanter is “pleased” with the progress currently being made in the case.
The source told Breaking Celebrity News: “Yale believes that the two sides are getting close – he has struck up a good relationship with the District Attorney’s office despite their differences in the past.”
Despite the current hope of resolution, the source says anything could still happen: “Yale’s optimistic that they can reach a deal before they step in court on August 2 but he felt the same way before the last court appearance when things did not work out.”
