STATEMENT: Fantasia Read Wife's Homewrecking Court Claim Then Took Overdose, Says Manager

Former American Idol winner Fantasia read a court complaint naming her as a homewrecker just hours before she took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid in an apparent suicide attempt, Breaking Celebrity News is reporting.
The police report was classified as “801- suicide".
In a statement released Tuesday, manager Brian Dickens admitted the singer was “overwhelmed” when she tried to kill herself.

Fantasia was recently named in a lawsuit accusing her of making a sex tape with a married man, which Paula Cook alleges is one possible piece of evidence to prove the singer’s affair with her husband Antwuan.

But Dickens said Fantasia maintains some of the allegations in the complaint are “totally false”.
“Fantasia is heartbroken and is sorry for any pain she may have caused,” he said. “Yesterday, she was totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention.”
