Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, says his wife doesn’t know her right leg is being amputated.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, doctors treating her at a Los Angeles hospital decided on the procedure after an MRI revealed an infection in her leg had spread into the bone.
“I talked with the doctors about whether or not to tell Zsa Zsa about the amputation,” a devastated Prince Frederic told Breaking Celebrity News, in an exclusive interview.
“We decided that the news would probably send her into shock, putting her more at risk for surgery.
“She does not know she is losing part of her leg.”
