Lindsay Lohan’s outing to Kamofie & Company not only led to criminal charges against the actress but now may be the center of a civil lawsuit filed by Lindsay or her family.
Outraged over the selling of the surveillance video showing Lindsay in the store, Lindsay’s mother Dina tells Breaking Celebrity News exclusively that they are considering a lawsuit against the shop.
Breaking Celebrity News broke the story that Kamofie & Co. sold the surveillance tape for more than $35,000, divvying up the rights for TV, the Web, the U.S. and abroad. A spokesperson for the store told Breaking Celebrity News that business had been hurt by the Lindsay controversy. The same spokesperson was quoted by the New York Post saying: "There was no profit motive here. The purpose was to get people off their back."
But the No Profit Motive argument is ridiculous as the store is receiving a large percentage of sales from the broker they used to distribute the tape, multiple sources confirmed to Breaking Celebrity News.
And now, Lindsay’s mom says the selling of the tape has the Lohan family ready to sue.
Dina Lohan told Breaking Celebrity News exclusively: “Once again, celebrities are faced with the possibilities of their normal daily activity being filmed and sold without their knowledge and their consent, and our family is looking into formal legal action.”
