Legendary film critic Roger Ebert is getting two thumbs down for a controversial tweet referring to the death of Jackass star Ryan Dunn on Monday.

"'Jackass' star Ryan Dunn, RIP. His Porsche flew through 40 yards of trees," the legendary Chicago film critic first tweeted Monday as news spread of the 34-year-old reality star's fatal car crash in Pennsylvania that claimed the life of his passenger, as well.

As Breaking Celebrity News previously reported, Dunn had tweeted a picture of himself drinking an unidentified beverage with pals just hours prior to the accident.

About an hour later, Ebert tweeted "Friends don’t let Jackasses drink and drive.”

In response, blogger Perez Hilton wrote, "Everyone makes mistake, and this is somebody's son. Too soon, Roger."

But Roger wasn't swayed.

"Perez Hilton's readers agree with me and not with Perez about my tweet on Ryan Dunn,” Ebert wrote in response. “He drank, he drove, 2 people died."
